About
Gaston G. Rampersad hails from the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago, brought there at an early age from the country of his birth, England. This trans-atlantic voyage often has Gaston questioning his football allegiance but more often than not, England wins his vote.
Having studied Computer Science in sunny Florida and worked in even-sunnier Trinidad for a few years, Gaston altered his course to pursue a dream fueled by many years of time spent with Super Mario Bros. Using his Computer Science background as a base, Gaston’s dream took his as far as East Lansing, Michigan to pursue a Master of Arts Telecommunication, Information Studies and Media, in the Serious Game Design Track (try saying that 3 times fast) at Michigan State University – Go Green ! Go White ! He graduated in the spring of 2009 and hopes to leverage his knowledge to find his way into a game design-centric career.
When he’s not learning new game development technologies (most recently, Unity 3D and Push Button Engine), you can find Gaston playing with his dogs (all 5 of them), cooking and torturing smartphones to see what makes them tick. He’s still in pursuit of finding the perfect smartphone (which is a very expensive pursuit to follow).
